About Alpha Beta Psi

Alpha Phi Omega is a National Co-ed Service Fraternity founded on the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. It was created in 1925 by Frank Reed Horton with the purpose of creating an organization that promoted scouting as well as a sense of brotherhood. Since it’s creation, Alpha Phi Omega has spread to four different countires with over 350 chapters worldwide.

Members of Alpha Phi Omega learn Leadership skills as well as learning to help their community. Becoming a member is an enriching and life changing experience. Brothers can truly say they have gained many skills along with long-lasting friendships. For more information on the organization and what it stands for go to apo.org.

The Alpha Phi Omega Chapter of Roanoke College was chartered on September 9, 1988 at the Virginia Tech War Memorial. Since its creation, the chapter has thrived within the campus community. The chapter currently performs service in various places within the surrounding community. Throughout the years, the chapter has proudly accepted over 50 pledge classes and countless members. The chapter has maintained strong alumni relations who provide other opportunities of service to humanity. Today, members of Alpha Beta Psi continue to follow in our founders footsteps by serving our Campus, Community, Nation and Brotherhood.
